Best Days.

Yesterday was so much fun. Jordan's parents had extra tickets to the Temple dedication in Calgary so they invited us to come. We made a day out of it and drove down to Calgary... the dedication was so amazing. Some of the best talks I've heard and the best part was that we were in the actual building! I had to keep reminding myself that the prophet was in the room right beside us broadcasting this. It was such a spiritual experience and we are so glad the temple is now open. Afterwards, Thomas Monson (the president of the church) waited in the hall way to make sure he met everyone inside the temple and shook their hand. It was such a great suprise. We love him so much!

After the dedication, we had a quick dinner with the parents and then hoped back in the truck to drive home. The drive wasn't bad at all though... we have the 90's music to thank for that.
Jordan and I are so blessed to be able to go on little trips like this and see the new Temple. We were so happy we got to spend more time with our family and each other on the drive.

Love, Us.

when theres everything to do but blog...

11:00 pm and an entire nursing project left to do worth 30%... I can't think of a better time to blog. not. WHY am I the biggest procrastinator of all time? Its so annoying. I think after a while my brain just cant process anymore information and then my legs start to shake and then I start going on pinterest.... well ya you get the idea. Does ANYONE have the cure to my inability to focus on an assignment for more than 2 hours? gosh.
In the midst of feeling completely incapable I have made a list of things we have to look forward to...

-Going to the Calgary temple dedication tomorrow. The perks of having a father-in-law who is a Bishop. oh hey Pres Monson. so excited!
-How I still have 2 weeks left in Labour & Delivery (aka. my absolute FAVOURITE unit). I saw my first birth on Thursday. It was crrraaazzzy. I won't explain via. a blog post, but trust me it's so overwhelming I cried? SO embarassing. Oh hey med student who probably thinks im the lamest most sensitive person for crying with the parents after but sometimes you just can't hold it in OKAY.
-My 21st birthday ;) oh how we love november. My birthday, husbands birthday, and halloween all in a row. Can there be a more fun month?
-We got winter tires! getting installed tomorrow. weeeooo about time. FINALLY no more drifting all over the roads and cringing every time another car passes. gotta love costco tire center.
-Going to Calgary next weekend for a Vivint meeting (aka. getting to spend time with family and our best friends)
-annnnnddd lastly... CHRISTMAS. The happiest time of year. We LOVE it! We are so excited to spend it with Jordan's whole family and go to Banff together. The stockings, hot chocolate, smell of pine needles... and gingerbread im dying just thinking about it. just so magical. 59 days and counting!

Date night

OH how we love our date nights.
First we did homework together (for WAY too long in my opinion haha).. went to the mall, then went for fat burger and twisted yoghurt. Twisted yoghurt is literally Jordan's favourite place on earth. We have tried other frozen yoghurt places but NOTHING compares apparently. Im pretty sure he would get a job working there making 8 dollars a hour if it meant he could eat all the yoghurt he wanted. Anyways, as a result every time we dare enter a 10km radius to a twisted yoghurt we have to go get some. His favourite is strawberry&kiwi and mine is plain. I don't know why but nothing is better than plain to me. It was a really fun night and so great to just spend time with each other after having such a busy week.
 sooo cute.
Biggest blackberries I've ever seen

sunday funday

Ten things we LOVE about sundays...

1. Church. period.
2. Unlimited amounts of morning cuddles (church isn't until 1)
3. The only day that jordan lets me blast EFY music
4. The only day that a home cooked meal is 100% guaranteed
5. Breaking amish is on.....did i just say that?
6. Catching up with family and friends
7. The only day we can justify doing absolutely nothing school related
8. Our home is spotless... saturday is not so fun for that.
9. Literally the most relaxing day of the week
10. Disney movies.

thats the spirit.

Last night we spent our night carving pumpkins with blake & lindsay...
I dont know why blake looks like a murderer in this pic.
A "freehand" drawing of Jordans owl for our pumpkin. Impressive hey? I married an artist.
A hour and one sliced finger later, here is the finished product....!

happy early halloween!

Birthday fun and temple day

October 14th was Jordan's 22nd birthday so we went down to Calgary to spend the weekend with his family and to take my family through the temple open house. It was such a fun weekend!! We got to hangout with our family and friends, eat delicious italian pizza, and see the beautiful new temple. love it.

Intro...

Jordan and I met on November 4th, 2011. After that day we were inseparable. He lived in Calgary and I lived in Edmonton but we never missed a weekend together. I even drove on the highway when the road reports were RED. It was skeetttchy at times but always so worth it. We grew closer and closer until we got engaged, planned a wedding, and got married. We went on a honeymoon to cuba and now we are living downtown edmonton close to school. Husband is majoring in psychology (wants to be a sports psychologist) and I am a year away from being a RN. Right now I am in labour and delivery and postpartum units so you will probably hear me constantly rant about how cute babies are. Im sorry but theres nothing cuter.
One thing you should know about us is...
We have the most amazing sets of parents and family we could ask for.
We also have the best friends in the world. Here are a few pictures of our closest friends. They are like family.
We are so excited for this coming year and all it has to offer! Tonight = dinner and pumpkin carving with lindsay&blake. Pictures coming soon!
love, us.
